CMEI ENVIRONMENTAL STUDY GRANT
The CMEI Board of Directors is pleased to announce an educational grant to be awarded to a high school graduate from the HOsting Community who has shown commitment and initiative towards conservation and improving the local environment. This grant reinstates a CMEI Education program that was discontinued in 2014. The details of the new Grant Program can be found below.

GRANT VALUE
The value of the scholarship a $2,000 grant to be put towards tuition costs for continuing education.
ELIGIBILITY
The scholarship is open to students graduating high school in the current year who reside in the Hosting Community.
APPLICATION CRITERIA
Applicants are to complete the form (see link below) and attach a 500-word account of their previous achievements as a word document. The submission should include the applicant's contributions to the local area under the following criteria:
- Conservation efforts relating to the natural environment.
- Raising awareness of environmental issues and concerns.
- Education and encouragement for sustainable living.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS 1998 - 2014
From 1998 until 2014, CMEI provided an environmental scholarship to students from the host community who were enrolled in full time programs at UNBSJ or NBCC Saint John. Each year four students received $1,000 each towards their tuition. In 2014, in order to advance CMEI's environmental monitoring effort, the CMEI Board of Directors discontinued this funding. At that time a total of $67,000 had been distributed. A list of recipients can be found below
